THE LEGACY...

Dark Arts Performing Dance Company was formed in the Fall of 1996 at the University of Delaware. A group of students with different backgrounds and levels of experience came together due to their love of dance. These students saw something lacking in the performance companies on campus, minority representation, and variety! So, they came together and formed what is known today as Dark Arts Performing Dance Company.

Our dancers come from various dance backgrounds with different levels of experience. Not only do we have members that range from beginner to advanced, but we also practice a variety of dance genres including but not limited to hip-hop, lyrical, ballet, jazz, modern, gospel, African, Caribbean, tap, Latin, and pointe.

We live, learn, and dance through the knowledge and strengths each dancer has to offer.
